The Sole E25 elliptical trainer is one of the better values at the competitive $1,000 price range. This newest model now includes Bluetooth capability and a white backlit display for easier viewing. For the money it is a reasonably stable and durable machine with a good service record. Although there are some structural differences between the E25 and their higher price models.
The Sole E25 is built on a frame that is 11″ smaller than their other ellipticals. The smaller size has a minor impact on the stability, of course it makes it more compact. The other models with an 82″ frame take up considerable space.

The E25 comes with a very basic LCD display, with a white backlit screen. The white backlit screen allows for easier viewing. You’ll notice in the photo that the E25 comes with a built-in fan. A popular feature, but don’t expect to get blown away. You also get built-in speakers with a plug-in for your MP3 and iPod player. The quality of the sound is not all that great, but it is nice having the music focused directly at you.
Bluetooth Capability – This model has Bluetooth capability that allows the machine to communicate with your smart device. Simply download the free Sole Fitness app and then track your workout stats after each session.
White Backlit Display – Another new feature on this upgraded model is a white backlit display instead of the old blue style. This type of screen is designed for easier viewing.
Incline Adjustment — The Sole E25 elliptical was upgraded from a manual to a power incline, where you can adjust to 15 different incline levels. Heart Rate Control — The Sole E25 offers heart rate control with the a wireless strap. There are two heart rate control programs, or you can adjust the intensity of your workout manually. Many consider working out by your heart rate as a very efficient way to burn calories and get into shape.

The Sole Fitness E25 has Bluetooth capability. This new technology helps bring the Sole Fitness machines into the game as far as workout tracking statistics. A free Sole app is available for your smart phone that allows you to keep track of your workout statistics. Plus, this model includes a white backlit screen for easier viewing. We would not recommend the E25 for someone planning on strenuous workouts. Also, although they put the user weight at 325 lbs., I would put the limit at around 240 lbs.

Hi I’m 49 yrs old and I’m 5’ 3” will the E25 work for me?
Hi Sara! Yes, it will work. It does have a fixed stride length at 20″, so it is not adjustable. But, most people under 5’7″ are comfortable with anywhere from 16-20″ stride 🙂
Is this easy to move from back and forth? Ideally, I would like to slide it sideways when using it?

Looking to purchase an Elliptical to offset my running! I’m 5’10 (135pds) and my husband is 6′ (180pds). We each run over 1200 miles a year. The machine would not be getting that kind of mileage, but would be used, combined, probably 5-6 times a week. Suggestions? We have had luck with Nordictrack and love iFit, but are looking at all brands.
Hi Tammy. For your taller heights, I would suggest getting one of the machines with a longer auto-adjusting stride like the NordicTrack FS10i or FS14i. I hope this helps!!
My son 335 pounds sole says the max for the Sole e25 is 350 but Dicks says it’s 325 I want to be sure of the maximum before I talk with him about not using it until he loses a few pounds 🙁

Hi Tanya. Have you ever used an elliptical before? For your height, I would suggest something with an adjustable stride length like the Sole E95S. The 20″ max stride on the Sole E25 may feel confining to you.
Perhaps my first message was sent incorrectly —– I am 6’1″ but limited on space on where an elliptical would work well. I am looking at the Sole E25 and E35 as well as the Nordictrack SE9i. I was at onetime considering the Sole 55 but I can’t see spending $500 more for the E55 when for the most part the E25 does the same thing. Would love to read your opinion
Hi Jerry. For your height, I would suggest an elliptical with an adjustable stride length. Those machines are all 18-20″ which will probably feel pretty confining to you. The NordicTrack FS7i is a great option to consider.

Hi Jack. Most people under 5 foot say that 18″ stride is the most comfortable for them. Has your wife tried an elliptical with a 20″ stride? You indicate that a reason for upgrading to the E35 is for the incline and resistance switches. But the current E25 model also has these switches. The main differences seem to be the heaver flywheel, adjustable peddle tilt and the extra handle positions. The price difference in retail appears to be $400.

I recently purchased the Sole e25 to combat my Covid weight gain due to the gyms being closed. My husband was very against getting home gym equipment, but I held my ground. I am very pleased with the machine. Instructions were VERY clear to put the machine together. It is study, programs are good, speakers and fans do their job. I’m 5’4″, but my 5′ 10″ and 5′ 8″ sons also are using it! A 1/2 hour workout goes by pretty fast 🙂

I have a sole e35 but since i downsized its to big i noticed the e25 or e55 is smaller what is the better buy its impossible to sell used equiptment so iam consumed on buying another and my garage is detached and to far from my condo and its way to hot to use it in the garage thank you

Hi Machelle. You can use it on carpet but keep in mind heavy use of any piece of exercise equipment could scratch a floor surface/damage carpet. I would suggest getting an elliptical mat if possible!
